  It wasn’t the smoothest of performances from The Rocket in his last-16 encounter but he is still in the lead.

  All to play for this evening.

• Stephen Maguire has done it! Scotsman Stephen Maguire has sent Shaun Murphy crashing out of the World Snooker Championship.

  Maguire fought hard to maintain his lead over the 25 frames.

  And in the end, the Scottish star won the match 13-9.

• Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-3 Ryan Day The Rocket certainly isn’t having it his own way as Ryan Day won’t lie down without a fight.

  The Welshman fell behind in the frame before turning it around and closing the gap to just one.

  Something tells me that this game could go all the way to the wire this evening.

• Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-2 Ryan Day And just like that, The Rocket has lift off as he has taken another two frame lead.

  This was complete annihilation.

  O’Sullivan has come back from the break with a chip on his shoulder as he races to a third frame win.

  The Rocket is aware that there isn’t much room for error after seeing Day equal the score earlier.

• Scores on the doors Steven Maguire is currently 12-8 up against Shaun Murphy in what is turning out to be a thrilling contest.

  Murphy is running out of time to turn this encounter around as the players enter frame 21.

  But stranger things have happened so the Englishman shouldn’t be written off yet.

  In what looked like a match that Ronnie was going to run away with, Day has brought it back to 2-2 out of nowhere!

  Admittedly, the Rocket seems as if he got a bit complacent and is now paying the price.

  The Rocket wasn’t able to hit a century this time round but he did what was necessary to get the frame.

  This could be another beat down, similar to Jackson Page.

  O’Sullivan had quite a slow start to the match as he missed his first couple of shots.
